TNEA Seat Allotment Result 2025, Round – 1 (July 17)

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has officially released the TNEA 2025 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result on its portal – tneaonline.org. Candidates who participated in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2025 can now check their allotted college and course, and take necessary action before the deadline. Admission Criteria for TNEA 2025

Admission will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects, namely:

Total marks will be reduced to 200 based on this structure.

How to Check TNEA Seat Allotment Result 2025?

To access your Round 1 seat allotment details, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website – tneaonline.org
  2. Log in with your registered Email ID and Password
  3. Click on the TNEA 2025 Seat Allotment Result link on your dashboard
  4. View your Allotted College and Branch
  5. Choose your preferred seat confirmation option
  6. Download your Provisional Allotment Letter
  7. Make the required fee payment within the deadline

TNEA 2025 Seat Confirmation 

After seat allotment, candidates must choose from the following six options. Not selecting any option before the deadline will lead to automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.

1. Accept and Join

  • If satisfied with the allotted seat, download the provisional allotment order.
  • Report to the allotted college within the specified date.
  • Failure to report or pay fees will result in cancellation and exclusion from further rounds.

2. Accept and Upward

  • If satisfied with the seat but still prefer a higher choice, opt for upward movement.
  • Pay the required fee and report to the nearest TFC (TNEA Facilitation Centre).
  • If no higher option becomes available, the current seat will be confirmed.

3. Decline and Upward

  • If not satisfied with the current allotment but want to wait for higher preference, choose this option.
  • If a higher choice is not allotted, the candidate will be moved to the next counselling round.

4. Decline and Move to Next Round

  • Candidate is not satisfied and does not want upward movement but will participate in the next round.

5. Decline and Quit

  • Candidate chooses to quit the entire counselling process and will not be considered further.

TNEA Certificate Submission and Refund Policy

  • Candidates opting for upward movement and confirming by paying tuition fees must report at a nearby TFC and submit their original certificates.
  • The certificates will be transferred to the allotted college after counselling concludes.
  • If the candidate is not willing to join the provisionally allotted college:
    • They must collect certificates in person from the TFC by submitting an undertaking letter
    • 75% of the paid tuition fee will be refunded after completion of the approval process

  1. Sandwich Degree: A sandwich course is a four to five-year programme that entails an undergraduate or graduate degree with a full-year internship in the industry. It also means missing school to work on a placement; this might be a full year or a thin sandwich degree with a few internships spread out over the duration of the programme.   ↩︎
