NEET Exam Fees Refund 2026: How to Update Bank Details Before July 14?

The May 3 NEET UG 2026 exam was cancelled. The Education Minister promised every student a full refund. NTA started processing and then discovered that over 10 lakh eligible candidates still hadn’t confirmed their bank details. So the deadline was extended again. The new final deadline to update bank account details for the NEET exam fees refund 2026 is July 14, 2026 at 11:50 PM. If you appeared for the cancelled May 3 exam and haven’t confirmed your bank details yet, this is the last opportunity NTA is giving. Miss it, and your refund process gets delayed indefinitely. This guide covers everything: who gets the refund, what the process involves, and the exact steps to complete it before July 14.

Why the NEET 2026 Fee Refund Is Happening?

NTA had scheduled the original NEET UG 2026 exam for May 3, 2026. NTA cancelled it following paper leak allegations and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that no student would bear the cost of the cancellation. Every candidate who paid the NEET exam fees for the May 3 exam would receive a full refund. The Re-NEET was subsequently conducted on June 21, 2026, with no additional fee charged to students.

NTA’s official statement: “NTA is committed to refund the examination fee to all candidates in view of the cancellation of the NEET (UG) 2026 examination held on May 3, 2026.”
