What Happens If You Fail in one or more Subjects in 12th CBSE Boards?
Students who fail in one or two subjects in the CBSE 2025 exams will get another chance through the compartment exams, which are scheduled for July. But if a student fails in more than two subjects, they’ll have to repeat the academic year. The results of the compartment exams are expected to be declared in August 2025.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced revised guidelines for the CBSE Revaluation Process 2025. Students of Class 10 and 12 who are unsatisfied with their results can apply for verification of marks, obtain a photocopy of answer sheets, and request re-evaluation.
Note: Marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged after revaluation.

CBSE has updated the sequence for revaluation:
- First, students must apply for a photocopy of their evaluated answer sheets.
- Only after receiving the photocopy can they proceed with verification and re-evaluation.
