MCC NEET Counselling is the official process through which MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing seats are allotted under the All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and ESIC institutions. The counselling is managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) as per Supreme Court directives and Government of India guidelines.

MCC NEET UG Counselling Registration

  1. Update Contact Information: Ensure the email ID and phone number used during NEET UG registration are active. These will be used throughout counselling.
  2. Await Communication: MCC will share updates via SMS/email.
  3. No Changes Allowed: Once registered, you can’t modify your contact details.
  4. Use Recommended Devices: Use a laptop/PC with updated Chrome, Firefox, or IE for seamless access.
  5. Register on MCC Portal: Visit mcc.nic.in to register and pay the required fees online.
  6. Sandes App for OTP: Download the Sandes app to receive OTPs for secure registration.
  7. Upload Certificates: Upload necessary documents like NEET scorecard, ID proof, and academic certificates.
  8. Physical Reporting: Report to the allotted college in person with original documents for final admission.

MCC NEET UG Types:

Super Speciality CounsellingAll DM/MCh super speciality seats in government, private, and deemed universities are filled through centralised counselling across all states.
However, INIs like AIIMS and PGIMER conduct separate counselling.

NEET 2025 Counselling Process

-> Registration: Complete online registration on the MCC portal and pay the counselling fee.

-> 2. Choice Filling: Log in to select and prioritize your preferred colleges and courses. You can add, delete, reorder, or save your choices.

-> Choice Locking: Lock your final choices within the deadline. Once locked, they can’t be modified.

-> Verification and Allotment: Colleges verify your registration and preferences. MCC processes the seat allotment accordingly.

-> Seat Allotment Result: First, a provisional result is announced. After considering objections, MCC releases the final allotment.

-> Reporting to Allotted Institute:  If allotted a seat, report to the college with documents. Failing to report will lead to seat cancellation.

-> Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy Rounds: Remaining vacant seats are filled through Mop-Up and institutional stray vacancy rounds.

Documents Required for NEET counselling 


The list of documents required for NEET counseling are:

-> NEET Admit Card
-> NEET Scorecard or Rank Letter
-> Class 10 certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth)
-> Class 12 certificate and mark sheet
-> D proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)
-> Eight passport-size photographs
-> Provisional Allotment Letter
-> Caste Certificate (if applicable)

How to Convert Nationality from Indian to NRI for NEET 2025?

Before Round 1 of counselling, candidates can request to convert their status from Indian to NRI:

Documents Required:

  • NRI Sponsor’s Passport and Visa
  • Proof of Relationship with Candidate
  • Affidavit from Sponsor
  • Sponsor’s Income/Bank Statements
  • NEET Admit Card & Scorecard
